If you’ve ever made a PowerPoint, you’ll know new slide ideas can be a struggle. Finding fresh inspiration for Word docs people actually want to read can be tricky too, especially when you’re drowning in data and deadlines. Most times, it’s a race against the clock to create that compelling presentation or newsletter, and while you may have plenty to say–and the software to say it with–you know that’s just the start. You want to engage your audience, get your message across, and make your work matter. But finding the right stats, facts, and quality quotes can be a tiring task, much like the search for relevant images.
So here it is, part two of getting up close with Pickit. In this blog series, our team talks about the service in their own words. Next up in the hot seat is the magnificent Mathias.
At Pickit we think that everyone should be able to access the images they need. But we also believe in personal pictures. That means that whatever you’re looking for in your next image, you can use Pickit to find the perfect picture just for you. With that in mind, we want to offer you some personal insight on what our team love about Pickit. In this first post we asked our rising star and Social Media Manager, Jullietta Stoencheva, to give us her take on the Power of Pictures using Pickit.
Millions of individual, freedom-seeking travelers are drawn to the wild north each year. As founder and ‘Chief Adventourist’ of the Jönköping-Stockholm bound startup Nordic Adventours, Moritz Witter and his team develop an online platform to gather and promote the adventure and wildlife activities waiting to be discovered in the nordic countries. From the start the vision was set towards allowing adventurous travelers to individually plan their trips in Sweden and the rest of the Nordics with the highest degree of simplicity and yet without losing the Nordic feel of freedom and independence.
Spinning tennis ball or spiralling galaxy? This shot by Ritesh Meena, a photographer from the Pickit community, captured the attention of many when he first posted it on Pickit earlier this month. He got plenty of follow-up questions from fellow community members, asking how he got the shot and to everyone's surprise, he answered: "I took it with my phone".
"It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary." - David Bailey
